Technical characteristics and related particularities of pump motors
CLICLS:543
The pump type special motor has two application structures, horizontal and vertical, and has three major technical characteristics:
The starting torque is relatively small
The startup frequency is relatively low
The continuous operation time is relatively long
Generally, pump motors are mostly asynchronous motors or synchronous motors with squirrel cage rotors. The motor power is one level greater than the shaft power, and the number of motor poles used is closely related to the pump head and flow.
If the shaft power is 22kW, choose a 30kW motor;
2-pole motor is usually used when the water head is slightly higher and the flow rate is not large, when the flow rate is large and the head is small, a 4-pole motor can be selected;
Water pump motor connection
According to the scope of application, application location, economic factors, etc., there are several ways to connect the pump and the motor:
The shaft of the pump is directly connected to the motor shaft;
The shaft of the pump is connected to the motor shaft by a coupling;
The shaft of the pump is connected to the motor shaft through the gearbox;
The pump shaft is connected to the motor shaft via a hydraulic coupling.
Load characteristics
The load of the pump motor is related to the pump head and flow, and when a high lift pump works at a high lift point, its flow rate is the design point. When working at low head, it is equivalent to reducing the outlet resistance of the pump, at this time, the flow rate of the centrifugal pump will increase and the pump motor will be overloaded. If it exceeds a certain level, the pump motor will be burned.
